The Church boutique, that is—a 5,000-square-foot Hollywood sanctuary dedicated to the appreciation of art, fashion, design, and luxury. The brainchild of Rodney Burns and David Malvaney each with a background in wardrobe styling and retail, including separate stints at L.A.’s überposh Maxfield boutique, Church offers an alternative to the exclusive vibe of the pair’s former stomping ground: “The whole idea of Church is about community and bringing together artisans and artists,” says Rodney. Local designers are the gods of this establishment.
